A Blessing of Animals

October 4th was a day for celebrating The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at Emmanuel. Saint Francis’s Feast Day is traditionally celebrated with a Blessing of Animals.

Approximately thirty special pets were brought to Emmanuel to be blessed by Dr. David Smith.  All dogs and cats were well behaved and seemed to enjoy the special attention and blessing!
