Chatham Concert Series Presents: Dvorak and Faure Piano Trios, Sunday, Jan 21 at 3:30 p.m.

Lighten the dark days of winter with a chamber music concert by violinist Kevin Matheson, cellist Julia Goudimova and pianist Judy Clark on Sunday, January 21 at 3:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 66 N. Main St in Chatham. The program opens with Gabriel Faure’s lyrical and flowing Piano Trio in D Minor, Opus 120.  Faure completed this trio in 1923, and it embodies the soulful character of late romantic music. 

Antonin Dvorak’s Piano Trio No. 2 in G Minor, Op. 26 features beautiful melodies as well as Czech folk idioms foreshadowing his later Slavonic Dances.  

Admission is free, but donations are accepted to support the series.
